Generally, confirmation class is a three-year program for young students usually starting at 6th grade in which the students go through a Bible history for a year and will spend 2 years in Luther’s Small Catechism learning the Christian teachings of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. These classes prepare the students to understand the importance of the Christian doctrines that have been handed down to us from the time of Jesus’ Ascension and Pentecost when the Holy Spirit was poured out and birthed the Church. The students are prepared for proper reception of Holy Communion.
For Adult Confirmation materials used are Living Discipleship, Small Catechism, etc.
