Shepherd’s Heart Disaster Relief is a ministry Ascension has been proud to work with. This is a storm, tornado/hurricane tree/debris removal ministry. Since hurricane Katrina, the Southern District along with our LCMS national church body, continues to provide support, both monetary and volunteers, to help alleviate needs born out of natural disasters. Camp Dixie Lutheran Outdoor Ministry is a place where campers, counselors, and staff members are able to grow spiritually, physically, emotionally and intellectually, in a positive way by experiencing, reflecting and evaluating in an outdoor-based Christ centered program.
