Promised Treasures:  This Lenten season, we have a fresh opportunity to embrace God’s amazing love for us, His baptized children, in new ways. St. Paul clearly says that “faith comes from hearing” (Romans 10:17), but the Gospel is also communicated through the physical senses of sight, smell, touch, and taste. Jesus mentions that a good teacher not only brings out new treasures but reminds people of old and rich treasures as well (see Matthew 13:52). Greetings all in the matchless name of Jesus our Savior! Just a few more days until the celebration of our Lord’s birth. This is an update on the Christmas Eve services. We are doing two services: 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm with a limit of fifty (50) per service. The 4:30 is full as of today. The 6:30 pm service still has room. If you are coming but haven’t signed up yet there is still time and space for the later service. Christmas Day service w/communion is at 10 am. Re-Open Worship

On June 14 we will have one service at 10 AM so that we can have our annual spring/summer congregational meeting and luncheon to follow. On this special Sunday we will receive new members in and the day will be a kind of Easter celebration-like since we were not able to have our normal Easter Sunday worship! Lunch is Potluck with provided meat and you sign up to bring your favorite side dish!

We at Ascension are hoping you are having a tremendous fall (or at least as much of a fall as you can find in the deep south!)
